Is your website mobile friendly? Run a free check

See your site the way a phone visitor and Google do: phone layout, speed, Google basics and whether people can reach you. Plain-English results, no jargon.

Only public pages. How we handle your check

What we check

  • Phone layout. Is the page built for phone screens, and can visitors zoom in?
  • Secure address. Does the site use https, so browsers don’t warn visitors?
  • Server speed. How fast your server starts sending the page.
  • First-screen blockers. Style and script files a phone must download before it can show anything.
  • Google basics. Page title, search description, main heading, indexing settings, canonical address and structured data.
  • Images and sharing. Image descriptions (alt text), a share preview image and a site icon.
  • Can people reach you? A form or email link a phone visitor can actually use.
  • Google’s lab test (when available on this page): speed score, Core Web Vitals and Google’s top fixes.

How to read your score

  • 90–100: fast. Keep it that way when you add new content and plugins.
  • 50–89: needs work. Some visitors leave before the page finishes loading.
  • 0–49: slow. Phone visitors are waiting, and you are likely losing inquiries.

Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test is gone. Google retired it on December 1, 2023 and now recommends Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights. This check covers the mobile basics the old test looked at, plus speed and Google readiness.

Can a visitor send you an inquiry? Speed is half the story. Walk through our mobile inquiry checklist to see your site the way a customer does.

Rank.Vegas scores 100 for mobile performance in Google’s Lighthouse test (October 2026).

Questions

How do I check if my website is mobile friendly?

Type your address above. The quick phone check opens your page the way a phone does and checks the basics: phone layout, secure address, server speed, files that delay the first screen, Google basics and whether a visitor can contact you. If Google's full lab test is available on this page, it adds your Google speed score and Core Web Vitals.

Does Google still have a Mobile-Friendly Test?

No. Google retired its Mobile-Friendly Test, its API and the Search Console Mobile Usability report on December 1, 2023. Google now points site owners to Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights, which is the engine behind the full lab test here.

What is a good mobile speed score?

In Google's PageSpeed Insights, 90–100 is fast, 50–89 needs work and 0–49 is slow. Mobile scores are usually lower than desktop scores because the test simulates a mid-range phone on a slower connection.

Why is my website slower on phones than on a computer?

Phones have slower processors and often slower connections. Heavy images, page builders, many plugins and slow hosting hurt phones the most.

What are Core Web Vitals?

Three measurements Google uses for page experience: Largest Contentful Paint (how fast the main content shows; good is 2.5 seconds or less), Interaction to Next Paint (how fast the page reacts to taps; good is 200 milliseconds or less) and Cumulative Layout Shift (how much the page jumps while loading; good is 0.1 or less).

Why does my score change every time I run a test?

Speed tests run on real networks and servers, so results vary a little from run to run. Look at the trend and at the issues listed, not a single number.

How can I make my WordPress site load faster on phones?

The usual wins are page caching, compressed images in modern formats, fewer plugins and fewer files loading before the first screen, and good hosting. We can review your site and send you a plan.

Is this check free? Do you store my website address?

Yes, it is free with no sign-up. The quick check is run by our server, which opens the public page once and keeps the result for up to 6 hours so repeat checks are instant. We do not store who ran a check.

Privacy

The quick check is run by our server: it opens the public page you enter once, like a visitor would, and keeps the result for up to 6 hours so repeat checks are instant. We do not store who ran a check. If Google’s lab test runs, your browser sends the address you entered to Google PageSpeed Insights, and Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request (see Google’s Privacy Policy). Only check public pages you are allowed to test. Privacy policy
